The EMAGE Apparel Workforce program will refine participants design skills, industrial manufacturing competence, presentation and portfolio skills and can help move them toward a career as a: • Fashion designer • Illustrator • Industrial machine operator • Costumier Skilled and trained fashion professionals are in demand internationally, nationally and locally right here in Baltimore.
In order to provide solutions for crime and poverty through manufacturing and entrepreneurship, Citywide created mobile carts. This is the first opportunity at entrepreneurship for many of the our youth. Cart locations include: Baltimore’s Downtown and Inner Harbor, Baltimore City Pools, Schaefer Building, State Center and now ORIOLE PARK!
Made In B-More ‘s training and apparel manufacturing facility is located in Port Covington . MIB Clothing operates a retail store in Towson Town Center, as well as two mobile showrooms.
Under Armour has built 130,000-square-foot facility will be known as, “The Lighthouse”. Our program is part of this facility located right across the parking lot. After graduating from the EMAGE program, students are transferred to the Lighthouse facilities for further training and employment opportunities.
We are raising funds to renovate our 10,000 square ft facility, in the 21217 zip code, one of the most impoverished areas of Baltimore city. This project is a collaborative effort between grass roots, educational, public, and private organizations.
The New Facilities will hold:
-Workforce Development Programs
-2 retail/wholesale showrooms-Workforce development center
-Training in apparel manufacturing and frozen desert production -70 entrepreneur and job opportunities.
